Crafting laughter and strategy, Love Is Dead reflects my passion for creating unique, immersive games.

Love Is Dead is a testament to my leadership and creativity, blending humor, strategy, and immersive design while steering every aspect of the project—from concept to completion.

Why I’m Proud:
Love Is Dead exemplifies my ability to create a cohesive, engaging experience that connects players through humor and strategy. It was an exciting challenge to design a game that balanced clever mechanics with playful storytelling, and I’m incredibly proud of the result. From its hauntingly funny narrative to its clear-profile Boo cards that amplify the ghosting theme, this project reflects my dedication to crafting every detail with intention.

Role: Concept Creator, Lead Designer, Development Lead

Overview:
Love Is Dead is a hilariously spooky party card game that captures the highs and lows of modern dating—featuring ghosts, puns, and plenty of surprises. Concepted, designed, and fully developed in-house, this project was a labor of love (and heartbreak). I led the design and development from start to finish, collaborating closely with a cross-functional team of narrative designers, graphic and structural designers, engineers, marketing experts, and project managers.

Process Highlights:

  • Design & Concept: I wanted Love Is Dead to embody the humor and challenges of modern dating while tying it into a ghostly afterlife theme. From the clear-profile Boo cards to the pun-filled gameplay, every detail was designed to immerse players in this tongue-in-cheek world.

Process Highlights Cont.:

  • Collaboration: Partnered with an incredible team to bring the narrative, branding, packaging, and structural design together seamlessly with engaging gameplay.

  • Testing: Testing was a cornerstone of development. Multiple play sessions helped us perfect the game mechanics, ensuring the experience was balanced, competitive, and laugh-out-loud funny.

  • Development: Managed all aspects of the project lifecycle, ensuring the game maintained its unique voice while meeting production goals.
